So what's with the huge sales difference for Switch?

Are Nintendo neglecting Europe and sending most of their stock to the US? Or is it just not as popular in Europe?

EU is Sonyland.  Or more accurately PSland.  The Switch will probably do ok there, but PS is just synonymous with gaming there.  Going to get even better once GT Sport launches.  And GT 7.

Impressive NS, very good hold for PS4, but this week it has been beaten by NS again. I'm waiting to see at what level NS weekly sales will settle, but it looks promising.
Ninty must be very happy about NS, but probably Sony is happy too that excellent NS sales donìt look like they are damaging PS4.
Decent sales for XBOne too.
3DS resists too, but at barely decent sales, probably Ninty won't keep it alive much later than Xmas 2018.

Do you know that 3DS is scarce in the USA/EU?

Undestandable that Ninty logistics be busy mostly for NS, but 3DS has been hovering below 100k/week WW for a long time before NS launch, except of Xmas season, and despite easily beating PSV, those sales weren't satisfying for a market leader and heir to the mighty DS throne.

Apropos, open the link and read... Switch preparation and launch surely is related with 3ds stock situation but the main cause is Pokemon...

It somewhere says about their FY16/17 forecasts 5m, 6m... They sold in 7.27m eventually ( 400k units more than last FY year, with 3DS being yoy down by 400k units in Japan...) !

It's Sony territory Allright but it's not only that. The price is higher but more importantly, you can't find a switch anywhere in the wild (Belgium). Since launch I have yet to spot a switch in the wild. That's crazy two months after launch. It has never been like this for previous console releases. When I check online it's always out of stock. It can only mean that a) the console is selling out and b) that shipments for Europe are really low. I'm curious to see how it does when it gains popularity and becomes readily available in stores. Now it just seems like the thing hasn't even launched yet.

you have been on this site for far too long to be making rookie mistakes like this.

2.74 million SHIPPED, sales of 2.4-2.5 million would give it about 90% sell through.
