Emulation can be done legally, and it's precious to be able to play old games.
Even in the case of illegal copies, they affect sales only if the game is still on sale, obviously.

The majority of pirates ultimately don't pay the asking price for their games. The majority of pirates are on PC. Cemu was never about saving Wii U games. The Wii U wasn't even three years old before Cemu went up. A bunch of PC gamers simply wanted to be able to play Nintendo games without buying a console or the discs. Why? Because they seem to think that console exclusives are anti-consumer, and that gives them the right to steal whatever they like.

I love emulation for older harder to get games. Games where their legacies are already solidified.

Ban talk of Persona 5 or BotW from emulation threads. Otherwise the mods are just condoning piracy of games that are still on store shelves, for systems that are still current gen.

Of course they don't get paid. Mods have always been volunteers. 

They're emulating the PS3 and Wii U versions, so no, not current gen. They're last gen.
