Let thoughts exchange and compare the games list. Read the whole comment and form your opinion about the 2017 Games Line Up. Anyone can share his honest opinion. "Help! The PlayStation 4 has too many great games this year". This is often heard by gamer. Its are not just words. Videogames with incredible story and gameplay + lots of interesting characters are particularly popular this year. My question: Is there any list as a comparison? PlayStation 4 2017 vs Switch 2017 ?

Here is simply a comparison with large and elaborate games. If I forgot important/big games, write a comment :)

* = New big amazing Games with awesome story and gameplay.

First quarter: PS4

Persona 5 *

Yakuza Zero *

Horizon Zero Dawn *

Nier Automata *

Ni-Oh *

Kingdom Hearts Collections

Gravity Rush 2

Resident Evil 7 *

Digimon World Next Order

Mass Effect Andromeda

Yooka-Laylee

Outlast 2

First Quarter: Switch

Mini-Games + old Ports (Snipperclips & MK, Disgaea 5)

Summer: PS4

Uncharted The Lost Legacy *

Tekken 7 *

Yakuza Kiwami *

Everybodys Golf

Crash Bandicoot & Wipeout-Collection

FF XII R. & next fifa

Dragon Quest XI (japan) *

Valkyria Chronicles Azure Revolution

Summer: Switch

Arms

Splatoon 2

End of 2017 for PS4:

Red Dead Redemption 2 *, Gran Turismo Sport * , Destiny 2 *, Star Wars Battlefront II, Next Call of Duty, Next Shadow of Mordor, maybe Detroit Become Human *, Ni No Kuni 2 * and many, many! more Games.

End of 2017 for Switch: Next Xenoblade and Mario *, maybe next Pikmin... ?

My thoughts: I hope Nintendo will develop more big games in the future, I want it very much. i dont need Minigames and old Games-Ports. What do you think ? Two friends have sold their new switch and deserved good money. If more great games with attention to detail appear, it becomes only interesting. The comparison shows that the PS4 has much more Games 2017 - and qualitatively better. Is it hard to be honest? I see people who buy every boring mini-game and ignore all the great story / gameplay games because the games do not appear on their system. This is sad, right? Your thoughts ?

This is going to go well. But yes of course the PS4 has a larger lineup than the Switch. It's a phenomenal year.

Doesn't matter. Nintendo has the games it needs to sell every Switch they make from now through Christmas.

And there's not a single thing Sony can do to stop that. Splatoon 2 alone will destroy the PS4 in Japan, yup even with Dragon Quest XI.

And the PS4/Switch are barely in competition. Their lineups are too different.

They're functionally different products. They'll both do well, there's enough room in the existing traditional game market for that.

Microsoft is maybe the one now that has the bigger question mark about where they belong in this industry. Are they content to be a third place company.

Keep this threads coming please, the more now, the bigger the laugh later.

By making a portable console, Nintendo basically has solved the riddle of how they co-exist in the marketplace with the Playstation brand. It was something they couldn't do with traditional consoles since 1995 because they were too similar, but Switch is the right mix of being different enough but not having to rely on an unreliable/fad driven Wii-type audience.

So Nintendo has their bases covered more or less, if Switch doesn't go right, it will be because they somehow fucked up or got away from what is going right for the system now.

Well it's not like he said "Switch will only sell 5 million this year!" he didn't make a prediction to laugh at. The only thing to laugh at is the threads terrible and unnecessary execution, and obviously missing titles form the Switch list.

His thought is basically "PS4 lineup is way better then Switch's lineup this year" which is a perfectly valid opinion and one that's undoubtedly shared by many, but it really didn't need a thread.

Wow. Someone is in a desperate state of justifiying his PS4 purchase.
