If it's multiplat then go for it but if it skips the switch that would be a huge dick move

Yeah it was but at least you can justify it by saying the the Vita flopped. If Sony pulled some street fighter V style bull shit with this then I'm done with Capcom

Being a dick to a small amount of people is at least a little less embarassing of a business decision.

Well the MH franchise biggest sales are on the PSP, so...

PS4 has install base, but not where it matters.

MH5 would sell maybe 1 million tops in the West ... but you'd be fucked in Japan totally.

The appeal of franchise has *always* been the ability to play portably, whether on PSP or 3DS. PS4 cannot do that. Beyond that, Switch is going to overtake PS4 in Japan in short order.

Making a move like this is franchise suicide. But seeing as how Capcom has already driven Street Fighter and Resident Evil and Dead Rising into the shitter, hey what's another. Apparently though as people have said, this is fake.

Japanese developers better wake up and fast -- Switch is not the Wii U and it's going to dominate the Japanese market and looks like it could also do great in the West on top of that. I bet many Japanese studios are in scramble mode right now trying to get more Switch content going as quickly as possible.

I'm unsure as to why you bring up the PSP when we are talking about the PS Vita.

Still wonder when MH5 will come out, or will they just stick with MH for 3DS first?

Because you say that a small amount of people was disappointed. Im sure the people who had a PSP and wanted to play MH on the Vita is not a small amount. Why is it ok for Nintendo to get it exclusive and not Sony?

Because Nintendo handhelds are bigger in Japan?
