Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch 3rd party success so far

Between the digital games and the ones with physical releases, how do you think 3rd party has been doing so far.

Sales, running stats, promotion, etc.

I'm curious how people see things as we reach the 2nd month mark.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Well Bomberman had its biggest launch ever. That's something.

Bomberman seems to be doing pretty good. I assume games like Fast RMX & Shovel Knight did pretty well considering those franchises' history of success on Nintendo platforms.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Indies are probably doing well, they fit well with Nintendo's schedule. Big 3rd parties like Skylanders and Just Dance probably flopped, the platform is not suited for them yet. Bomberman did wonderfully for what it is, but it would have done so much better without all of Konami controversy last year. When will Minecraft release? I have the feeling it will reach the million in less than threee months, considering the speed of the Switch's sales.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Its basically just indies and Japanese third parties. Western AAA third parties seem to have gone missing so far. So its more like a 3ds + vita situation than anything.

I believe the digital version of Minecraft releases May 11 with a physical release set for later in the year.

There's hardly any 3rd party games currently to really be able to tell so far.

I think all that's know for sure so far (based on what has been officially said and such) is that Super Bomberman R sold really well.

I would imagine games like Fast RMX sold well too, but who knows until we get sales figures and seeing as how that's digital we'll have to wait for them to be officially announced by Shinen or Nintendo or something.

i heard bomberman and master blaster zero are doing great

Heard from your buddy Reggie

Bomberman, FAST, Snake pass and Master Blaster have done great. Not sure how Lego city performed although i heard it was the best selling version in the UK. I think Street Fighter will probably do ok as well.
