Snake pass Switch Review
Originality: Three developers walk into a bar. They decide to make a game with the maneuverability of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, use the art style and music of Banjo Kazooie, and decide to make the game freaking hard and death filled like Dark Souls. Out pops Snakepass. What a unique game that no one was asking for! The combinations of different concepts is strong in this game, though it does feel a lot like old school RARE 64 days.

Graphics: Mostly pretty visuals, though some noticeable issues from time to time.
8/10
Art Style: Beautiful art style! I REALLY liked how the colors poped in this game. My only complaint here is that most of the game looks incredibly similar in terms of style. Couldn’t they have done snowy levels or something other than bright tropical colors? Oh well.

Story: *Ahem…* Well, at least there was some kind of wrap up at the end, and throughout the game a “menacing enemy” was occasionally teased, until the very end when you figure it all out. In general, a pretty weak story, but at least they tried somewhat!

Game Interface: Annoying or not? The games camera can be a pain sometimes, with it zooming you out or in frequently when you are attempting a difficult crawl, which got me killed quite a bit. Other than that, it was decluttered in general.
3/5
Controls easy and fluid or difficult and rigid? Ok so I was annoyed by the fact that the stupid bird wouldn’t always pick me up when I hit y the first time, which often got me killed. It took me a bit to get used to climbing in this game.
3/5
Is it fun? It is a rather short game mixed with non-repetitive level designs that have new challenges pretty frequently. I enjoyed my time on this game, but if it had been much longer I would have grown tired of it, so I’m glad it wasn’t too long! Still, dying this much in a game can take its toll on the enjoyment.
