No.We wont see it in no shape and form.First, its way too soon.Second, they already have FF 7 R to show. And third, they already have many titles in development that they need to show more anout(KH3, DQ XI, Dissidia, etc)

I see them showing a surprise or two, like what RPG factory is working on, and elaborate more on titles like Octopath traveller, but no FF XVI

what about ff7 Remake trailer with release date and teaser oft xvi afterwards, would be like a bomb

I think it could be a mistake. Not only the game would still take 3 or 4 years to release, and thus people would complain and Square would get bad press, but both games could potentially compete with each other.

Personally, I hope FF XVI is not even mentioned, because I dont want to be teased for 4 years straight, like they are doing with KH 3.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

i und er stand what you mean, but i thought that maybe with developement time should be come shorter by the time. naturally it depends how big is the team behind the game. the only reason why they wouldn't show it, it's because they want focus everything at the moment on vii remake and kh 3.

I hope so. It's been a decade since we've seen a new mainline final fantasy concept.

No, unless MS made a big deal with SE to show off FFXVI for scorpio.

SE priorities atm will probably be on Mobile FF>Episodic FF7>KH3>FF Type 1> Remasters/expansions>FFXVI.

I don't see it happening, and I think it'd be better if they didn't have any sort of teaser. Considering they have their hands full with other projects, I don't think it'd be wise to start the process of a 'Versus 13'. They should wait when the game is able to release in a foreseeable future.

I very much doubt it. I think it will be when support for FFXV has either ended or it is close to end (next year, I pressume). I also wonder if FFVII:R is being considered as a new "mainline" FF, and therefore pushing FFXVI even further.

For FFXVI, I wish it is in a medieval/industrial setting, like FFIX. We had enough modern/futuristic settings, IMO. As for the battle system, I really liked FFXV's. I would like them to use it again, but with improvements.

Witcher 3 quests and story progression system + FFIX setting + FFXV combat (+ improvements) would be my dream game.

We know that the next entry could go in the direction like ff ix has gone. Maybe i'm too optimistic, but one thing is for sure, it would be one of the big e3 moments, if SE would all surprise us with a first trailer of the next entry of the mainline series.

But why would they? SE has a handful of more important titles they need to push before trying to throw everyone into an FF16 news drip. I think E3 is too early to even tease the game. Focus on what we have now.

FF15 is still being worked on and needs to be kept in the forefront as much as possible while they rebuild it.

FF12 ZA doesnt release until July.

FF14 expansion is after E3.

FF Dissidia doesnt have a PS4 release yet.

FF7 remake has very little info known about it.

everything you say it's true, but the surprise would be amazing, because nobody would be expecting it

if it will happen like they say in the Interview, your wish could come true and it will go in the direction like ix was

I highly doubt it..
