Why is that strange? Many healthy men that could have reached that age have died in WW1 or WW2 (or lowered their life expectancy in these wars).

Would have loved to listen to the stories she could tell. It is actually amazing. Even if she just sat in her house almost her whole life she still lived through all that.

Well, I guess it depends on her mental state at that age. If she was still competent, it would have been great. But my uncle's grandmother is in her 90s and is all senile, and she couldn't be able to tell a straight story at all.
