Yeah... the amount of people making fun of the OP when he's not said anything wrong.
1900 is part of the 19th Century, but it is not part of the 1800's.
Also why is my text bold.

My text is bold too, for some reason.

What are you talking about? How does that contradicts what any of us said? From 1801 to 1900 we are talking about XIX (19th) century, if someone was born the 1800s (in this case 1899) it was born on the 19th century. |
It does contradict what you say though, because the OP says "Why are there articles claiming she is the last person from the 19th century?". Because there are people born on the year 1900 that are still alive. But your response to that statement is "Because 1800's is the 19th century."
No, the 1800's and 1900 are the 19th century, so the OP is correct in his statement.

Oh no, the thread's gone beserk!
Okr must not have closed the bold on his post, that's the only explanation I can think of.
There were still wagon trains when she lived... the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Ottoman Empire still existed...
Heck, she predated the mass adoption and proliferation of penicillin by almost half a century. It's incredible to think about.
Rest in peace!

Haha it's still funny that the Chicago Cubs drought was so long that it always pops up in these time measurements... that was one hell of a stretch of mediocrity!
Funny thing is they have decent odds of winning a second in a row this year.
Oh, she predated pre-sliced bread by like 30 years! Also, she predated the Panama Canal, and she would have been nearly 20 when she watched Charlie Chaplin's first appearances in films.
This is really fun to brainstorm lol

Not that impressive, my life already spans two centuries. ;)
