What are you talking about? How does that contradicts what any of us said? From 1801 to 1900 we are talking about XIX (19th) century, if someone was born the 1800s (in this case 1899) it was born on the 19th century.

It does contradict what you say though, because the OP says "Why are there articles claiming she is the last person from the 19th century?". Because there are people born on the year 1900 that are still alive. But your response to that statement is "Because 1800's is the 19th century."

No, the 1800's and 1900 are the 19th century, so the OP is correct in his statement.
