Wow can't beleive how close the PS4 is to the Switch for week 2! The Switch supply must have been super tight! Still amazing for the PS4 to be this close to it!

Edit: After reading the comments a drop like this is normal so good for the Switch to still sell this much! And glad to see the XB1 above 100k

The PS4 usually is that high. You thought people would forget about the PS4 as soon as the Switch launched?

No I just didnt think the drop off from week 1 to week 2 would be that large on The Switch

Yeah but to outsell the PS4 by only 4k low in its 2nd week after launch? Is that a normal drop for a launch console in its 2nd week? That is crazy low stock.....I hope the next weeks show a pick up in units sold.

Uh, yes. It's very normal. Actually, what's unusual is how Switch still sold so well in its second week despite being supply constrained. The PS4 dropped to 99k after its launch of 1.1 million, which is a larger drop in percentage terms.

smh..... if there were 400k more NS's available.... that number would have ben 650k instead of 250k.

Its pretty normal when something is supply constrained. Take the PS4 in NA for example. One week it was selling 1M consoles, the next week it sold less than 50k.... two weeks after that did around 300k, followed by another sub 60k week.

Launch hardware sales are eratic like that. Its kinda why I say we need to let things settle down on the NS first, at least let t get to a point where there is obviously enough supply to meet demand.
