I find it ironic because anyone judging the game on the first few hours are likely to think it's boring as hell ... Well, it does get better right? I can put up with the garish UI (passed off as 'style') and the unintuitive map as long as it actually gets good later on.

Actually, you know what. It's not too different from game rentals. There were many people who rented games without buying them to test and see if they'd like them, much in the same way that they do with videos nowadays.

Completely unenforceable and companies have no right to make empty threats. Streaming games is a basic right of people using the internet. We live in a democracy and it is our right to stream games, tv shows, music and movies.

I don't get it. The game is released at this point. The fuck Atlus cares if people that legit buys it and plays it while streaming it get too far or even beat it. People ain't forced to watch that, nor should anyone be enforced not to stream the product they just bought with their money.

Uh. Going after... streamers? If you're watching a stream about a game, you'd better expect spoilers. Videos are slightly different and I'd kind of understand going after them, but definitely not streams.

This is not an Atlus thing, it's a Japanese thing. I'm pretty sure Atlus USA has no problem if people stream Persona 5. In fact I'm 100% sure. Unfortunately Atlus USA has to follow what Atlus Japan tells them.

Which makes sense, considering that game rentals were allowed in the US but not in Japan. Here we have more of a "try before you buy" mentality, so that's probably why Atlus USA are more acceptable towards them than Atlus Japan.

Well I can understand that but not being able to Share screenshots makes me sad. :(

No offense but if you go into a stream that says they're playing Persona 5, you think you would expect to be spoiled on the story. Completely your fault.

I do not like to watch streaming anyways, and the people that do do not buy these games usually. So...
