The God of War reboot for the PlayStation 4 has been one of the platform’s most anticipated titles ever since it was announced last year at E3, as it will be the first game in the series to be developed for the PS4.

And it looks like fans might not have to wait too long to finally get their hands on the franchise’s eighth installment, as the new voice actor for Kratos might have unintentionally revealed the game’s possible release date.

Christopher Judge, who played Teal’c in Stargate SG-1 and was announced as the new voice of Kratos last year, recently updated his Twitter account profile to say that God of War would be a 2017 title, inadvertently giving away the game’s release date.

Whether this was done unintentionally and/or by mistake is unknown, but if it is true and the God of War reboot truly is coming out this year, we’ll probably have an official announcement during E3 2017 and a possible release date of sometime in the Fall.

makes sense, the developers did say the game was playable from start to finish back in december.

I think this would surprise a lot of people, myself included. Really looking forward to this game, 3 was cool as hades.

Yeah, March was the window of God of War 3 and ascension. The only thing that could harm God of War isnt the window, but rather the quality of the game. If Sony changes the window to Summer, that would be awesome. I dont see too many things coming out in that timie period. I could be wrong though.

Im more excited about this game now that one of my alltime stargate favourites is voicing it lol, never knew.

That would be honoring the traditional release of God of war games. Also it would be my best guess that Sony releases this game in 2018 with all the polish it can get. Let Lost legacy, GT Sports and perhaps Detroit be the holiday line-up. Spiderman and God of War can give 2018 a great kickstart for Sony.
