Forums - General Discussion - So I bought a ton of Tofu from Amazon lol

What do I do now? I bought it because I know it is healthy and I remember it from Resident Evil 2 haha.

1. It came packaged, if I don't open the package I do not have to refridgerate correct??

2. It doesn't taste good, what can I make or mix it with??

3. How long does it last not in the fridge? It's firm Tofu and I am assuming because it came not cold that it doesn't need a refridgerator.

Why buy a ton of it if you don't know if you like it?

I tried tofu, 0 flavors. Then I tried some weird tofu with some weird flavor...

I cook with tofu a lot, because I have high cholesterol and I don't want to take medication :_(

You can marinate it in almost anything, but you will need to let it dry out a little first ( I use paper towels and letting it sit out for an hour or so ).

I enjoy marinating or cooking it with, soy sauce, soy sauce & mirin and/or Sriracha.

Since it has no flavor any will work with it, additionally it pulls in flavor real well.  Experiment!!!

Also, use some corn/potato starch to crisp up the outside of the tofu, creating a crunch ( pan fry ).

I didn't like it at first, but once you get the hang of cooking with it, it can become quite good.

Would you recommend mixing it with raw burger and cooking on the grill?

I've never really tried tofu, sometimes I forget it even exists.
