Bloodstained has been cancelled on Wii U in favor of a Switch version. Nintendo is to blame here, if I understand the story quotequotes below. They are screwing over their Wii U customers again, it seems:

Why would anyone support Wii U in 2018.

It's like releasing a game for the SEGA Dreamcast in 2005.

Just makes zero sense. People may have bought a Wii U version if the game was released a couple of years ago. But given that it's going to be sold after Wii U has been discontinued then it makes sense for the publisher to move to a different platform.

Unless of course you'd prefer they publish on Wii U and go out of business.

I would have to put this in the category of good decisions. No reason to support late life WiiU softare. It's not a 100M selling device, so there is not really good faith in continued support. Best to cut ties, and try and deliver the best product possible with the nest hardware.
