Forums - Sony Discussion - PS Now To Support PS4 (Called It)

Hm, sparked my interest. $100/year is pretty decent, so as long as the streaming quality is good. How does it compare to onlive?

Wow. I wonder how gaming would be like a decade from now and whether Sony will regret this decision. It's strange to take this route rather than play it safe and continue the hardware domination.

Only time will tell, for me its not interesting right now, but I have always bought consoles just for exclusives and I play all third party games on PC. It would be much cheaper to just own a pc and every now and then pay a few $$$ and have a month of backlog play for ps exclusives.

The thing that has always swayed me personally is boxes but if a digital future is ever going to happen on consoles I am glad there is this option, untill then for me personally the physical boxes + console will be a better experience.

I would like to see an option for people to buy a game digitally and pay $10 extra for the rights to stream it because a service like that could go head to head with play anywhere in value for ps4 and pc owners. But they will proberbly hold off on that for the time being because they do want to sell their new games and upcomming games with hardware, since they make both a profit on the hardware, services and games.

Because exclusives again don't hold much weight in selling power. Look at the best selling ps4 games. Outside of uncharted they are all games found on xbox and pc. Some people would also rather use a console right now over streaming service.

On the other hand, if they really put their games in a reasonable way ( lets say 6 month after launch ) it would be super-cheap to play all them games.
Come on, 100 is like 2 games.

still waiting on those PS1/PS2 games to hit PS Now

after PS5 released

I've never really paid attention to PSNow until today.

Wait a second... so all this time The Last of Us was playable on PC???

Services is the way to go to make money. Especially if you want to keep your older games alive. PC basically has everything. You get what you pay for.
The future wont be about console wars anymore. It will become a service war.
