Watch a couple of reviews. I think you'll be impressed!

It's even better than Pixel?

I wasn't familiar with the pixel so I googled "Moto Z Force vs Pixel". There were some terrible videos done by amateurs but here's a comparison I thought was pretty thorough.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.androidheadlines.com/2016/10/phone-comparisons-lenovo-moto-z-force-vs-google-pixel-xl.html/amp

Moto Z Force runs Android 7.0, now. Just putting that out there...

*Moto Z Force won but it's really too close to call. I could probably easily find a comparison that goes the other way*

Oh yeah that was definitely more thorough review. I never heard of that Moto Z Force until you guys started talking about it. Unfortunately for me I have T-Mobile. So both devices are out of my reach. Don't want to go more off topic than we already have. Thanks for the article though.

Nope no scratches yet, and my 8 year old is savage docking it 😂

So scratchgate is a false warning?

The Vita screen is plastic as well.

Plastic doesn't shatter, it's better for kids that way, a scratched screen is still usable a shattered one is tough.

Wha-??? I had no idea. Personally I'd actually prefer if all devices just came with plastic screens rather than glass. The so-called "scratch resistance" of Gorilla glass is joke. Dust in your pocket can easily scratch it, and the scratches have an unholy rainbow coloring when the screen is on. Nasty, nasty stuff. If  I'm gonna have to use a screen protector anyway, better that the built in screen is shatter resistant

That said, do like the feel of glass, which is why I hope for a glass screen protector.

My phone's gorrila glass hasn't scratched in more than 13 months? How did you scratch yours?

Slightly off topic but I wonder if there will be an "Otter Box" for the Switch. Might be profitable....

Don't know what scratchgate is? I just know my switch ain't scratched, and my 8 year old doesn't dock it particually deck it gently. It's always covered in horiible fingerprints though

Wtf? The screen is plastic? I didn't even know that capacitive touch screens could be plastic. Are there any tempered glass screen protectors available yet?

As was the PSP, Smartphones, 3DS, DS, my glucometer .... your PC monitor, I mean the "shock" that people are suffering that a device has a plastic screen is fairly laughable when you consider that... so do most things.

I mean... Iphones have glass screens as do some models of Android and windows Phones, but a large number of devices just use plastic, it's sort of like trying to be shocked that the casing of the device is made of plastic. That's just a material, and again if you're super worried that you aren't able to keep a screen from scratching, leave the thing docked forever and never take it out, simples, unless of course you scratch your TV... since that is likely to be made of plastic too.

Yeeeep, basically this. I prefer plastic screens. They are almost unbrakable. Glass screens can break pretty easy. I have to purchase a mobile phone per year XD. Scratches are nohing to compared to that, and easy to solve with a protector screen.

Think back to when you were a kid at school how often did we see a Gameboy with a screen shattered in comparison to how often you see people with Mobile phones with cracked screens in need of repair, also if you have scratches on a plastic screen now, ever since the advent of the backlight rather than a front lit system you will not see the scratching as badly while the screen is lit up, unless you go full retard and put the console in your pocket along with your keys or some loose nails for some reason.

Nope. I still don't understand how that is even possible.

It looks pretty easy, just whoosh your Switch into the dock really fast, it's pretty easy for some part of the plastic LCD panel to make contact with the plastic front wall of the dock.

Do that enough times and you're going to get a scratch or several.

I'm very careful now to make sure any time I do dock that the back of the Switch is making contact with the backside of the dock tray until it slides in place with the dock connectors. I take it in and out very slowly.

it isn't friggin jagged... you can ram it in pretty damn hard and nothing happens to it.
Honestly don't know what people are on about with it scratching easy.. no, it doesn't..
I've used mine like every day and docking in and out several times a day.. and people were posting those scratch things day 1.. someone is trying to mess their stuff up and show how 'bad the product is'.. atleast thats what it seems like
