Forums - PC Discussion - Nvidia GDC 1080Ti announced - Faster than Titan X $699 Releases next week

We've still yet to see how Vega actually handles compared to the 1080 and 1080ti. We don't even have a full public list of 1080ti benchmarks, so I don't think it's fair to call AMD done and dusted at this point in the game.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Sigh...  My 1080 is still terrific but I need the new tech.

Need or want? I'm fine with 960 :P

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Should beat the 1080.
The real question is how well she does against the 1080Ti and Titan...

I am thinking with 8Gb of HBM2, it might give the Geforce 1080 Ti a run for it's money at higher resolutions. (Think 5k, Eyefinity, Surround Vision.)

The topic is specifically in the PC section, talking about the GPU itself and the price cuts that followed, not what the current gen consoels have in terms of RAM or what they might next include 3-4 years from now.

Also to the one making the obvious of digs, the jimmies remain "unrustled", but it is very much taking things further off topic.

The topic was about the insane amount of Ram on the Geforce (And it being an odd number) and how that compares with other platforms.

It was entirely on-topic.

I need useless money for it first.

Wonder what the EU prices will be, 1070 is still around 450-500 euro here, glad I held off on buying one.

11GB, God I hate uneven numbers

11 1 GB modules, likely indicating there's a twelfth but they disabled it for better yields?

I'm reminded of the GTX 970's 3.5 GB of actual GDDR5 speed RAM, so this might be for the best.

nVidia ties 8 rops with a 32bit bus and a 1Gb memory chip.

This isn't a fully enabled Pascal chip.

For those that are thinking about getting a GTX 1080Ti, a few partners have already announced or teased their custom cards:

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I'm fine with my 1080, especially since I'm only gaming in 1080p anyways. The 1080 Ti might have some advantages for my work, but I don't think it's enough to justify a purchase of 800 €. I'll just wait for the 1180.

Anyway, nice to see something's happening and the card, while still stupendously expensive, is actually cheaper than I expected.
