A Pokémon Nintendo Direct has been announced via Twitter. On February 26, 2017, people will be able to tune in at 7am PT/9am CT/10am ET to hear new Pokémon announcements.

The most recent Pokémon release was Pokémon Sun and Moon, which came to the Nintendo 3DS in November 2016. This Pokémon Nintendo Direct comes ahead of the February 28, 2017 Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase and March 3, 2017 Nintendo Switch launch.
