What Do You Think Will Be The Score?

Below 70 11 5.82%

70-74 9 4.76%

75-79 39 20.63%

80-84 86 45.50%

85-89 27 14.29%

90-94 13 6.88%

95-100 4 2.12%

Total:189

81 right now. The original scored 82 so if it's close to that, I would consider it a critical success. RTS games on consoles will never be the ideal choice, dues to limitations. For what Halo Wars 2 is, it's probably the best RTS on consoles right now.

81: 25 reviews

really good especially for an RTS, good job by Creative Assembly once again will deff check this out on my pc and on scorpio later this year when I join the Xbox family.

Really happy with the package they are offering, season pass and 2 games for a decent price. Anyway lets hope it stays above 80 because the 2 reviews I had really showed me theres no reason it shouldn't and the lower reviews seem a bit like strategy gaming novice or people comparing it to pc, which is ridiculous

The Original Halo wars hit 82% so it seems the quality is on-par :D

Surprised it got over 80, wasnt sure it would.

I'm going with 84. I definitely don't see this game hitting the 90's. I would be surprised if it did though.

80 - 85. It's a game that focuses on gameplay rather than being an interactive movie so it loses 10 points by the gaming media automatically.

I'd wait for it to come out at least before explaining away the low score you think it will receive.

The score I predicted isn't low, but the gaming media aren't really gamers. Thats why if you see them play games they suck ass at it usually. The gaming media loves to give games with cinematic/interative movie feel to it or if the game is going for some artistic value a high score. That is why a game like Everyones gone to rapture can get good reviews when it is litterally nothing more than a walking simulator and talking to a bunch of light bulbs. Same with gone home.

Edit: Window central 4.5/5. My personal favorite publication. The reviewer actually like games for trying to be games and not movies.

That's pretty good. I really liked the first one so I'll pick this up for sure. Probably not at launch, since there's so much else out right now, but I'll get it down the road.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

1. The bold is bullshit. Gaming media is a difficult field to get into and doesn't pay that well. Nobody would do it if they didn't love video games.

2. You complain about cinematic games getting good reviews and then say that Windows Central is your favorite publication because they "Actually like games for trying to be games" When the gave both Abzu and Virginia good scores? (4.5 and 4 respectively)

1. Bullshit. Most of these reviewers probably wanted to review movies, but couldn't get into that industry so they went to video game industry. And in all honesty no reviewer outside the big ones are making money in any industry.  Also check this vid out regarding polyhacks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3pQ0oO_cDE. Believe me there is more. Angry Joe for example apparently used AUTO AIM for uncharted 4 lol.

2. I never said they didn't give good reviews to movie/cinnematic based games. They respect cinnematic/movie based games too, but they appreciate games for being games firstmost and story gets the back seat which a lot of games get flack for. You can litterally have a shit game with a decent story and get a free pass/ get good reviews. However, if you have good gameplay, but a shit story you will get huge deductions.
