Slimebeast said: Thanks for sharing, brother. I am so divided on the VR issue. Without having the opportunity to try it myself I just can't decide if it's amazing or a fad. When you hear stories like the OP or what SvennoJ has explained, you get very excited. But then you ask yourself, if it's so amazing why is VR selling so bad and why aren't there massive amounts of gamers who share the same level of excitement?

It needs experienced -- simply put. I never considered owning a VR until it became "reasonably" priced at $400 with the PS4. (Not because I wouldnt invest in technology but because I just never understood how good it could be). Once I experienced it, it's become an essential peripheral to me moving forward and this is just VR 1.0.
Price is a factor as well -- 400$ was the proper jumping point for me -- I didn't test it out before, I just jumped in blind. The immersion is immediate and real. Within a day of owning it, I had purchased 4 more DL games. I'm at a point where I simply check the store on Tuesdays to see if any new VR games are added that I can purchase. However -- 400$ is still an entire console to most people and until they experience it, they won't know they want it.
Like the Wii -- some games are cheap, junky shovelware but still fun nonetheless but unlike the Wii -- the VR has staying power because it fits perfectly into mainstream experiences. (I'm 100% convinced of this after Resident Evil 7 - now).
