No but it would make modeling the movements within our solar system a lot more complicated, for starters.

Explaining a PSVR shortage or hesitance to release PSVR sales numbers are tasks best left up to Sony, not random strangers on the internet.

Considering all the movements involved in each planet orbit, sun, and how they go around other bodies... So not sure how much more complexity there is between Sun or earth as center.

Which of these would you prefer to model mathematically?

I'm seeing only one very simplified model that only accounts for one of the movements for each of the bodies. And considering you were very fast on finding a simulation of it I would guess it isn't quite as hard the graph suggests.

Try making a difference in the complication between both assumptions when considering the trillions of stars in the universe, basically indiferent

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Ace combat and Star trek should help vr out too

This thread is about people in Japan lining up for PSVR. What does your statement about Sony not talking about PSVR sales have to do with this thread other than PSVR?

Well some see these long lines as a good sign and I think it's safer to get a hard number out of Sony rather than relying on anecdotal evidence.

They're selling all they can produce and not able to meet demand. They obviously feel no need to announce figures.

Obviously but PSVR needs adoption for it to be successful: developers aren't gonna hop on if there isn't much adoption so it might benefit PSVR customers and developers if Sony were to announce figures. Last I checked, Sony hasn't given PSVR numbers when they're more than happy to announce PS4 numbers.

My question is why?

The answer is self evident.  Companies love to share good numbers, but will do anything to avoid sharing bad ones.  So, while we don't know what the number is, we can safely say that Sony thinks the number is small.  That's just basic PR.

I am going to pick up mine tomorrow =)

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I'm seeing two models.

No, both models are achievable mathematically but one is much easier to work with than the other.

Of course, with regards to the Universe, both are insignificant but consider that the Sun's mass accounts for over 99% of the solar system's mass, the sun's gravity is going to reign supreme. It only makes sense that the sun be allocated the center of the solar system. The solar system's center of mass/center of gravity is sitting right by the center of the sun.

I suspected as such.

But hey, there's hundreds of people in these photos! Not dozens, hundreds!

Anti-DOOOOOOOOOOOM.

I'm glad it's getting some traction somewhere. If they can get some more heavy hitters like RE7 and less riff-raff like...almost everything else...then maybe PSVR can flourish, at least as niche but profitable.

RE7 doing the work. I really want VR to be successful. Playing RE, eve, and ED on vr is something every gamer should try

It's still a fad and all you VR buyers out there will have to buy a new model within 2 years.

Fad or not, it is the best gaming experience I have ever enjoyed. I would gladly spend $600 every 2 years for more advanced tracking, controlers, and display. In fact I would be willing to spend even more. I hope we get a steady stream of new hardware, headsets, trackng devices, and controllers.

Just like new more advanced Blu-ray players, Phones, TV's, Stereos, ect. come out every year. I think the same thing should happen with consoles, vr headsets, tracking systems, and controllers. No one has to upgrade every year, some can upgrade every 5 years, some would upgrade every 2, but we would constantly have growth and improvement.

I can see so much potential and growth in this industry, that I feel like I am 5 years old again, and anything is possible.
