Disclaimer: I checked around for a similar topic and didn't see anything; feel free to close if I missed something.

So Fire Emblem Warriors is announced and has a general release date, meaning that, as with Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, and any other game with a large cast of playable characters, we'll be spending the months leading up to release guessing who will make it into the game. That's exactly what this topic is for, except I wanted to make something of a game out of it.

Here's the gist of the competition: From now until the next character is revealed (and what exactly qualifies as "revealed" is subject to interpretation by me), this topic will be open to character prediction lists. Post a complete list of who you think will make it into the game as from past Fire Emblem titles as a playable character. When the game releases, I'll compare the predictions made here and the actual playable roster of the game, and assign points accordingly.

Predicting a Character that was not Included: -2 points

Failing to Predict a Character that was Included: -1 points

The reasoning behind deducting more points for an incorrect prediction than failing to predict a character is to disincentivize people from just predicting everyone and getting a high score because of a relatively high reward:risk ratio. With that said, I did decide to set the bar for a correct prediction at 5 points because we really have almost no idea as to how big the roster will be, whether they'll focus on certain eras like Hyrule Warriors or spread things out more.

Also, as a final rule, due to either being shown in trailer or having their personal weapons displayed in the trailer, Chrom, Ryoma, Xander, Corrin, and Marth do not count towards your prediction score. You do not need to include them in your prediction list.

With that said, I'll start by including my predictions: Lucina, Robin, Tharja, Cordelia, Frederick, Azura, Takumi, Camilla, Ike, Micaiah, The Black Knight, Roy, Lyn, Hector, Alm, Celica, Tiki, Anna. Final roster of about 25-30 characters at launch (I'm anticipating some original characters as well), probably being expanded on more via DLC.

So with that said...let's hear those predictions! Feel free to ask questions too. I'll be inserting a table for scoring later, and we'll track points as characters are revealed.

Ike is an obvious inclusion

Tharja and Lyn Lucina are a must!

Titania and Reyson from Path of Raidiance

Eirika and Ephraim would be nice DLC

If I were to go for a win, I would have to predict that in a roster of about 20 something characters like 13 or so of those will be from Awakening and Fates and the rest would be just the lords of the older FE games, at the very least the roster won't be as poor as Tokyo Mirage Sessions. And DLC for some secondary characters from the older FE games or more Awakening and Fates units, probably from Gaiden due to its remake (You can just feel my optimism).

Definitely agree, nobody saw Agitha coming, but then again Hyrule Warriors limited itself to three time periods and ran out of characters to select from pretty quickly as a result. Even if FE Warriors does limit itself to three time periods, there are plenty more characters that people would love to play as. You could probably fill out an entire Warriors roster with characters from a single FE game if you really wanted.

Endless possibilities. All I know is Koei Tecmo will not pass up on the opportunity to use Tharja and Camilla
