idk... all he was saying is that alot of ps4 games like Uncharted 4 are full of cutscenes and movies.

Its the go to excuse to explain why PS4 exclusives are so highly rated on Metacritic in contrast to XOne exclusives.  It's pretty much a poor trolling attempt, seriously, as a PS fan I could do better in downplaying PS4 exclusives lol.

I actually wouldn't mind just popping a game in and watching it play and get Trophies from just watching. I'm too lazy to game. Xbone already does it. Gives you Achievements for watching movies on Netflix and such.

PS exclusives are amazing.  But I don't use Meracritic to judge my choice in console.  I require more than just game ratings from individuals other than myself.

I tend to not attack quality.  PS has quality.  He was likely moderated because the go-to excuse against XBox is that it is an all in one media device vice a focused gamining console....or.... (Movie-box).

IMO that is a strength of why XBox One has been MY go-to console this gen.  It doesn't do a single thing perfectly....but it does EVERYTHING more well-rounded and better than the competition....

Game preference. Not everyone likes to play movies.

Moderated - Miguel_Zorro

I must be missing a piece of the puzzle, why was this moderated? :/ Was he on the brink or something?

He is saying PS4 games are movies not games.

While I prefer the PS4 over the XBO, there's a few things that I prefer or that are better on XBO:

-Controller

-Online

-TV functionality

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Lol for everything i know, it should be called HaloBox.
I never liked Halo. But always played the MP because my friends had it. Once, in my job, i found it on a PC (original Halo, CE) and I didnt have much to do, so I started the campaign. Damn, the music, the story. I was caught in the Halo Universe. So I got a XboxOne just because I wanted to play all the MCC and even bought Halo5.
Never had another Xbox. Just got this one because of Halo, and took advantage of getting RotTR first too.
Other than those game, its been collecting dust ever since I finished RotTR...

BTW, controller feels goon in the hands, but in terms of responsiveness, I prefer DS4. DS4 sticks for example, feel like they have more middle points between the start point in the middle to one of its edges. Xbox one feels like the sticks have like 3 positions in between. But that is only my experience.

Isn't that his opinion though? There are games on really all systems that play like movies. That's a valid criticism that I hear all the time. Now if he's saying ALL PS games are movies, then yeah I can understand.

Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Ori, etc. were all highly rated games.

"The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must" - Thoukydides

To me, it comes down to the last bastions of Xbox Only and the UHD Bluray Player. Inferior interface, inferior controller, inferior versions of games, inferior exclusives... That is all, of course, personal preference, and others are free to disagree. But what else are you asking about but our personal preferences?

So the only objective reasons to buy an Xbox One are for its few remaining exclusives and the UHD drive. Every other reason is subjective. Backwards compatibility isn't a selling point, since I can get better 360 support on a cheaper 360. The controller thing is always personal and doesn't have a definitive answer. And the exclusives can mostly be covered by owning a PC instead (and comes with the added benefit of owning a PC).

So realistically, yeah: Halo and UHD is about it.

1. The best online service in console gaming, and overall second only to Steam

2. Home of racing is on Xbox. Forza is the best racing franchise Imo.

3. Exclusives. Xbox interests me far more than any other of the big three with games.

4. Best looking console.

5. Integration with Windows 10 is awesome and exciting.

That's just some of the reasons I prefer Xbox. Overall, it's a better ecosystem.

Bought an Xbox one since it basically makes any other tech in your living room redundant. Also, graphical differences between it and the PS4 don't bother me.

Games appear to be cheaper on the Xbone too. Whenever I visit my gamestop, Xbone games are typically 10%+ less expensive than their PS4 counterparts.

Never heard that.

I can vouch for this (though I'm Canadian). I usually try to buy my multiplats on XB1 instead of PS because there's the odd chance that it'll be cheaper.

Perfect example (since you mentioned you prefer Japanese single-player): I wanted to buy Attack on Titan for the Vita, waited until it showed up in the PS Store at launch, and it turned out to be something like $5 cheaper than the XB verstion (not sure the exact price since this was in August).

The PS4 version, on the other hand, was maybe $10 more than the XB version, so at the end of the day I decided to get it on Xbox.
