If Nintendo made a Switch console that came with  a Pro Controller for $200 I'd buy it.

The Switch is the first "portable" console I've been hyped for my entire life. I did own other handheld (GBA and DS) but I wasn't hyped for them in any way. So my answer is no.

I like the portability of it... so with the choice... i will get the switch

Not at all, Switch looks incredible on portable mode and paying 100$ more for having something that doubles as a handheld and a console is completely worth it, the benefits of a handheld doesn't comes only from the fact you can play it on the street as some people wants to think lol, is also the chance to be able to play in whatever position you like in any room of your house, you don't need to be sitting in front the TV, you can play it even laid in your bed, or watching the TV while you are grinding on your Switch, it makes the console more flexible, more comfortable and easier to pick up and play, then of course you can carry it with you on travels and all that, which is great. The more I think about it the more I want it xd

It would be as useless as the Wii mini. Why would you want less features? Like really?

Instead of buying a second dock for $90, I would be very tempted to buy a second standalone console for my game room. That way I don't have to move the dock, nor have to ask the kids where the frigging thing is. At first I'll get the portable version, so my kids can play off tv instead of arguing over the tv. I don't see myself using the portable feature, unless it comes with a VR headset.

Anyway it's not about less features, it's about more options. I'm sure there are people that would like a smaller portable version with integrated controllers as well. Without hd rumble it should last longer too, and could be $200 as well as 1 piece will be much easier to produce than 3.

It is another possibility to consider - good for many home-only players - but maybe not good enough a jump for WiiU owners,

I already pre-ordered but if supply is constrained and people are paying stupid prices on Ebay I may just sell it. I was going to wait before buying it anyway until that damned Zelda trailer made me jizz.

If I had the option of a switch TV for $150 I'd be all over it. Like others have said with a little bit of time the switch should (who the hell knows with Nintendo) drop to $250. So I'd rather pony up the extra $50 to be able to have the versatility just in case I need it. So ... @$200 ehhh maybe, at $150 hell yes switch TV for me.

Yes. Sell the thing for $149-199 and it would be a solid little toy console to play Switch games. Its what they should have done from the start but with better hardware that scales to the Switch.

The Wii U Gamepad was estimated to cost 79$ to produce so I don't see why it's far-fetched to expect a potential Switch TV to be 100$ less.

Probably not, I would use the handheld feature more so I would be more interested in the exact opposite with handheld only :p
