I agree with him on a number of points. But if the recent leak(the one that developer said about the Switch) is true, moist of his complains are fixed.Hopefully its true.

eh he had better videos. Basically you could turn off after 5 minutes, because he's repeating himself over and over. There were more things wrong he could talk about instead.

He should have expounded on the cost, battery, etc. issues, because that's where a tremendous amount of concern justifiable lies.

The Reggie repitition was a microcosm of what was otherwise a very sound critique.

The internet has succeeded in making me feel bad for being excited about the Switch. Congrats internet.

WOO HOO!!. Can we throw a party now? Will you bring the cups?

I'll bring the cups, but only if I can cut them all in half first, to ensure that everybody's is always half empty at best...

That's bad. Even me, who isn't all praise for the Switch (mostly pricing and most things Nintendo is doing around the console, not the console itself), I'm still freaking excited for it!

Tbh, if you listen everything that Internet can say to you, you won't be excited about anything at all XD

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8239481 was my post during the stream the instant it appeared.... Seeing a character like Mario alongside Normal humans is just jarring, completely breaks the fantasy game world he is in.

Lol, indeed, I knew I couldn't be the only one.

Yeah, I didn't like it either! The people look and feel fake as well. It kinda feels like this game doesn't quite know what it wants to be frankly

I see that Hynad has already addressed this =) Yes, this is assumptions, but it's also based in pasted Nintendo behavior. I hope this'll be a great service, or that it'll be a lower priced one, but with what little information we have it doesn't look good.

Nintendo partnered with DeNA, so there is a reasonable chance for a major overhaul.

Yeah, I guess that's the only silver lining with this online debacle; Nintendo isn't doinf it themselves. But the service in and of itself doesn't sound great actually; you need a second smart device to voice chat and invite people for game sessions, what's up with that? That's just stupid; you should be able to do that with you console. The second issue is the whole "rent a S/NES game for a month", which isn't instilling faith either. That's two big issues with their new online service, and all we have to go by right now is that and the fact that it'll be a paid service - Nintendo isn't off to a great start on this one to be honest. So while the service might work just fine, it might still end up being a bad one. That, or Nintendo made a piss poor job of conveing their entire sale pitch.

It's called Odyssey, which means epic journey (I'm sure you heard of the great Greek story). That's what the game wants to be. An epic journey going around various worlds where Mario can potentially freely roam. This game is produced by Koizumi, not only the producer of the Switch, but one who's been around the Mario franchise since Super Mario Kart and Mario 64 and is Miyamoto's protege. Their goal is bringing Mario back to the sandbox atmosphere of the likes of 64 and Sunshine.

Oh, I've heard of the book alright, I've even read The Iliad - I just haven't come around reading the Odyssey yet.

I know what the goal of the game is; it's rather apparent in the trailer and in the name, like you pointed out. Doesn't take away the fact that the humans look quite ugly, or that the game seem to have 2 different art directors; just compare how the city and forest parts of the trailer look and feel with that foodland footage of the same trailer; on the one hand the game is kinda grey and brown and on the other its bright and colorful. That's what I'm refering to.
