No PD remake is gone. They are just remastering the original. They shut down the developer. They said they were still looking into it happening but that just turned out to be the remaster. MS wants the game for a budget of 5 million and well it won't happen.

The game looked like shit anyway. Plus Sony has more than enough exclusives in their hands. Why would they need to buy it?

Well... it will probably happen, but with a different name and slightly different game.

Hopefully they cut the multiplayer and fix the hipster lead character and we may have a decent game.

Yup. Darkside Studio's was created to remake Phantom Dust. Announced in 2014 with no work done yet,just a CGI trailer. MS gave them a 5 million dollar budget. They wanted a AAA game. Darkside said for what MS wanted they needed more money. MS then decided to cancel the game shut down Darkside and last year announced a remaster instead coming in 2017.

Who is making the remaster?

Some minor addition. Darkside studio was told to make a multiplayer only version of phantom dust. They were given 5 million budget. However later Microsoft wanted single player mode to be added on but devs wanted more budget as it will getting expensive to make. They were told to keep an eye on E3 and to their amazement they saw a CGI which they didn't made and was not similar to the game they were developing.

they can still make the game, but rename it to something different, like Dragoonbound... Like what fromsoftware done, Demon Souls = Dark Souls
