Let me catch my breath after reading this statement.

Well, a version that releases is better than one that doesn't by default.

It will be a masterpiece in both consoles anyways.

The Last Guardian is a new IP and Final Fantasy is a third party series with several games on PS3. So no, I don't think it's comparable to the Zelda delays.

Apparently there were a lot of people excited to play The Last Guardian on PS3 then ultimately have to wait years until it was a PS4 exclusive. With Ico and SoTC, fans were eager to know more and get their hands on it just like BoTW. And although Zelda doesn't have new main series game on Wii U, it's not like Zelda fans were left off to dry. Hyrule Warriors and HD remakes/remastered of WW and TP were released. Then you got OoT and MM 3D, Triforce Heroes, and ALBW on 3DS. Some would complain they added too much from the series before releasing BoTW.

Not necessarily saying you're wrong but it's an interesting comparison in general. As I stated in the previous comment, I wonder about the reception about those games changing consoles after years of supposedly being planned for the last gen consoles.

There was a Zelda game on every Nintendo system for 30 years except the Virtual Boy and the Wii U (and no, a crap port of a Switch game with a very limited release does not count). And the Virtual Boy is a joke, while those who bought a Wii U did so because Nintendo said they would support it. Well, their support was barely better than the support the Virtual Boy got, and now they are giving the middle finger to Wii U owners by porting most of its games to Switch, making our purchase worthless, because for buying the Wii U instead of getting actual Wii U games we got unfinished beta versions of Switch games and a lot of sh*t games. So you cannot even compare this to the PS3 games that got moved to the PS4, not even to the Vita where only people who bought it at launch got screwed, and even then they got some third-party games to play.

Breath of the Wild on the Switch is a port of a Wii U game, not the other way around.

I still don't get how porting Wii U games to the Switch is screwing Wii U owners. That honestly doesn't really make sense to me. By that logic, PS3 and Xbox 360 games being brought to the PS4 and Xbox One is screwing PS3 and Xbox 360 owners. Also, by that logic, GameCube owners were screwed because of several games being ported to the Wii.

BotW is primarily a Switch game with only a limited release on Wii U. Wii U ports screw Wii U owners by making our purchase worthless. I bought the system expecting Wii U games to not be ported to other platforms for at least a decade, as it happened with all other Nintendo systems. No system had all their big titles ported to another system so soon after those games were released. We are talking about games released only a year or two ago. There are a lot of PS3 and 360 games not ported to other platforms, and most Gamecube games were not ported to Wii. Not only that, but the Wii U ports have new content that you can only get by buying the game again, screwing those who bought the game on Wii U. I personally believe the Wii U ports are an unprecedented shafting of customers and Nintendo should be boycotted as a result.

unlikely and just a rumor

Because it doesn't make any sense, is just a bunch of people desesperated to write a narrative where WiiU is the worst thing ever made.
