Forums - Politics Discussion - Bernie Sanders wouldn't have lost against Trump

Who should've run for president as democratic candidate?

Hillary Clinton 6 4.62%

Bernie Sanders 105 80.77%

Joe Biden 5 3.85%

Elizabeth Warren 2 1.54%

Bill Clinton 12 9.23%

Total:130

Don't be so sure. I think some Dems would have been more excited for him, but even he was too far left for many. Plus, how many of his supporters would have really carried him to the end? Serious question, seeing as how most of them were poor students who would have been back in school by now. And what's sad is despite the things Hillary said to and about Bernie and his supporters, he and many of his supporters still flocked to her.

This is ridiculous. Would Bernie have won if he was the candidate? I have no idea. However, I find it hard to believe that so many people who were Hillary supporters would have put the country's welfare at risk of a Trump presidency just to prove a point. Trump (aka, the Republican conservative right) will likely get to appoint multiple Supreme Court vacancies now and tip the outcome of civil rights movements for decades. I do not care that Bernie was not the candidate, I care the Trump is the winner. Anyone who chose to not vote for Hillary because Bernie didn't win did more harm to the country than good. Even Bernie was saying that his supporters needed to vote for her after he lost.

yeah, makes much more sense to blame the voters rather than the party for putting up the worse presidential candidate of all times... that will be quite productive. especially when that same party played favorites by screwing over and over one of the candidates to benefit the other one (proven by the leaked wikileaks emails if any doubt was there)
