Forums - Sony Discussion - Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix announced for PS4 (Supports 60 FPS)

So many decimals.

Help me out here: which games will be covered with this set? And which will I need to buy separately?

Of course they found time - it only took 2 people from what I heard to make the PS3 HD remasters unless that was a joke ;p

It's real. HD collections still affected KH3, hence why I said that. lol

Lmao  I dont get it, why is it so hard to understand? Because it won't sell on XBO. You think they didn't look at the preorder numbers for KH3 and see that it's the same as Type 0.

It also wouldn't be a smart idea for Square Enix overall because if people have FFXV and KH3 on Xbox and don't have a PS4, that means overall lower sales for other games. They should have completely made FFXV and KH3 exclusive to PS4 so that they would buy a PS4 And have More potential sales for their other games.

Sorry but the problem is that if you are a life long Xbox fan, you haven't played the series before.... so whats more likely, jumping in on the first game or jumping in on the last game.  According to what you are saying, they shouldn't bother at all with KH3. And then 2.8 which is the final prolouge before 3 wont even be on it....

LOL... wait a minutes... You already know the answer.  KH3 is never gonna release anyway so it doesn't matter because its never gonna come to Xbox One anyway... I kid, but damn I have been waiting forever for this game...

It doesn't matter, it won't sell on Xbox because it's not what they play. Simple as that. I mean BF1 is averaging 250k players on Xbox One and 350k players on PS4 at day 1. PS4 is selling twice as much yet the gap is so close on XBO. Even if the collection came to XBO, it wouldn't sell.

"According to what you are saying, they shouldn't bother at all with KH3. And then 2.8 which is the final prolouge before 3 wont even be on it...."

What are you talking about? I'm saying they shouldn't bother with KH3 on Xbox One, not in general. And Final Prologue isn't on Xbox One. I'm saying they won't bother, even if the collection was on XBO. Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about with that sentence.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

This is a lot of stuff to keep track of 0_0

Not only that but the fact that the 1.5 + 2.5 HD Collection is $50 for 4 games and 2 movies/VNs is quite a deal/steal.

Even though I have the Original versions (PS2, GBA, NDS, PSP) and the PS3 remasters - I'm still gonna get this one.

KH to me is as special as FF but probably moreso since I'm more willing to replay all of its games simply for the story.

Years back I used to do marathon runs of the entire series closer to the holiday season (October to December) playing from KH1 to BBS.

With the remasters - its gonna be a lot easier to do. I already finished the PS3 remasters just last year and I dont mind playing them again on PS4 next year.

Sounds like I still need to track down some titles since they only included the cutscenes? Is that right?

Wait, wouldn't it make more sense to play the games by their original release order?:
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts II
Kingdom Hearts Coded
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage

You could but I always found playing 358/2 before 2 made the story more sense especially when you play the beginning of 2 as roxas. can't go wrong with playing bbs first either but I keep that last cause it pretty much sets you up for plot in kh 3D and the upcoming kh3.

Coded and 358/2 almost takes place at the same time to one part of each game taking place right after the other game's certain section.

Dont play this way please polyglot. Its ok if you already played the games, but if its your first time trying the series, play it in the order they released, which is this:

Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts II

 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Kingdom Hearts Coded
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage

If you play in any other order, you WILL spoil yourself of the story, because all games have references to events that happened in past games. If you play this order, you maximize the enjoyment out of them.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

That sucks. I guess I get into this franchise I'll have to find copies of those games.

It's been theorized that they can't put the full versions of Re:Coded and 358/2 Days into the collection because they were Nintendo DS exclusives. Sounds plausible to me, they're the only 2 games in the series that were on Nintendo DS and the only 2 games that only got HD cutscenes in the collections. It could also be because those 2 have the worst graphics in the series since they were on the Nintendo DS, so Square thought it would be too much effort to remake them with better graphics.

I was always more of the mindset of "No one wants to play these games again because they're boring an awful." Id' much rather watch 6 hours of cutscene than play those two. Only reason CoM isn't lumped in there is that they already remade it.
