Wait, wouldn't it make more sense to play the games by their original release order?:
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts II
Kingdom Hearts Coded
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage

You could but I always found playing 358/2 before 2 made the story more sense especially when you play the beginning of 2 as roxas. can't go wrong with playing bbs first either but I keep that last cause it pretty much sets you up for plot in kh 3D and the upcoming kh3.

Coded and 358/2 almost takes place at the same time to one part of each game taking place right after the other game's certain section.

Dont play this way please polyglot. Its ok if you already played the games, but if its your first time trying the series, play it in the order they released, which is this:

Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts II

 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Kingdom Hearts Coded
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage

If you play in any other order, you WILL spoil yourself of the story, because all games have references to events that happened in past games. If you play this order, you maximize the enjoyment out of them.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
