Forums - Gaming Discussion - Titanfall 2 isn't native 4K on PS4 Pro and it doesn't sound like many games will be

PSVR does 1080p60 :)

It does 60 fps and maybe even 90 fps, but I saw RE7 demo on PS VR and it looks like PS4 game with resolution lowered to 720p. Much much more jaggies and shimmer compared to 1080p 60 fps PS4 demo version. Hopefully PS4 Pro can provide parity in terms of graphics between normal 1080p 60fps PS4 RE7 and VR mode in RE7 on PS4 Pro.

It will still look like a 720p game at most since it blows the image up so much. However the ps4 pro should have no problem doing proper AA or even supersampling and use better textures. It should be able produce the best looking "720p" games so far, and since it's a fundamental requirement, no drops below 60fps allowed. None of this 45 to 60 variable "1080p60" game.

I think most non fanboys knew this.

This goes directly against what Sony said about "PS4 Neo focused on 4k gaming". I guess they should have said they'll have "upscaled 4k games and high compression 4k streaming to fill that content".

well lets be honest here.... the PS4pro is as much a 4k console as the XB1 was a 1080p console.

The catch tho is that it's harder to spot the difference between pseudo 4k and native 4k than it is spotting the difference between 900p and 1080p. That's just common sense that most chooses to ignore.

The truth of the matter is that it all boils down to pixels. The more pixels you have the sharper your image. The sharper your image the harder it becomes to tell resolutions apart. 900p vs 1080p was deemed good enough. 1800p vs 2160p would give an image that's significantly better than the same 1080p we all seem to be happy with.

It's ok. Digital Foundry says the checkerboard techique makes it look as good as native 4k in a living room scenario.

Even Scorpio's 6tflops will fall short for native 4k (or it'll just be 4k with same settings as the normal X1 version of the game which currently are equivalent to low PC settings in many games... and of course 30fps).

Lol

Pocky Lover Boy!

NBA 2k17 is already confirmed at 4K 60fps

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

Anyone who thought PS4 Pro would be running AAA games in Native 4K was kidding themselves.

That was fairly obvious from a GPU less powerful than an RX 470.
