Welp, unsurprisingly (to me, at least) MS is running another another "get a free game with Xbox purchase" for the week Pro releases, which makes Sony's decision not to bundle the slim with IW even stranger, since for a week MS will let you get both of the biggest games this holiday, BF and IW, free with their system. Not that it really matters that much, I suppose, people who wanted a ps4 will probably just be picking up a Pro anyway.  I also wonder if Target has learned its lesson from last time and will stick that $59.99 limit on their offer :)

You have places like Japan where the ratio will be around 99%. holy shit.  I wonder if SE will just go ps4 exclusive or start developing the secondary sku for NS instead of XB1.

 

Only reason to stay is if MS is paying big bucks.

Good point. And weird one as well. The console sold better in the UK and US than last year. I guess the same happened in almost every country that the slim launched on. How can they sell less than last year? That is a really bad sign for Xbox.

Microsoft did say in its NPD PR that the XB1 is up YOY in the US, UK, Australia, and "many other countries", but did not further elaborate on what those other countries are. I'm guessing that the countries Microsoft was refering to were those from Latin America since the XB1 is leading there according to Zhuge. However, everywhere else such as continental Europe, East Asia, Middle East, etc., XB1 sales cratered. That's my hypothesis on why hardware revenue went down significantly.

FFXV will definitely sell over Microsoft's high minimum print order. It would be extremely alarming if it didn't and Square will definitely not make FFXVI for the XB1/Scorpio if that actually happens. However, FFXV is a big enough game to avoid that kind of scenario. So it pretty much comes down to whether the XB1 version will sell enough to offset the costs of developing it and then some. I doubt Square will be happy enough to just break even and if the profits aren't high enough, then Square will prioritize the PS4, Switch, and PC.

The game should do atleast 1ml on xb1.

Pokemon now in the 2md and 3rd spots. News of the lastest trailer doing fantastic. Also moon moved up to 14th on yearly. Crazy.

Can we expect a 10mil launch FW? :P

MS thought Sony would have a IW bundle. They've been countering PS4 bundles with that free game deal. Can't believe there's isn't one.

the ps4 is the chrismas-highlight. And the first 2017-quarter is maybe the best ps4-quarter ever for gamer and japan fans. Persona 5 !!! Ni-Oh !!! Yakuza Zero !!! Kingdom Hearts-Games, Tales of Berseria, Resident Evil 7, Gravity Rush 2, Digimon World Next Order and many more + Horizon Zero Dawn !!!! so many fantastic games. We need more time, more lifetime *-* And Uncharted 4 is so strong in the usa, nice = )
