Forums - Gaming Discussion - I've decided not to buy it.

That's fine. You don't have to buy everything that is coming out, or at least a large amount of it.

I've had to pass on games simple because I know I won't have time to play them. Games like Pokken, Monster Hunter, Kirby, and some other ones. I only buy the really niche ones, cuz once they're gone, they can be haaaard to find later.

The only thing that is going to stop me from buying a NES Mini is a shortage

lol a thread about deciding not to buy a stuff for $60.

Economically speaking this is probably about opportunity cost, where it's not about the money spent, but what alternatively the money and time could have been spent on.

Thank you.  This is pretty much the case.  I might spend $20 on two controllers to work with the Wii, but memories of late night blisters in my college days do not serve me well.

I was thinking about getting the NES Mini, but I have many of the games on my real NES, so I'm not sure its needed. Its still a cool little system though. Might get it.

I've now come to an important decision. With so much good stuff coming out, I've got to make a "sacrifice." I'm humbled to say that I can afford the consoles I was looking forward to this Christmas, but I have others I should be considering. So I would like to announce that I have now decided to decline from purchasing a Nintendo NES Mini.

Is there anything any of you were hoping to purchasing soon but found that circumstances dictate otherwise?

I feel like I'd be cheating on my NES if I bought this mini one... and I'd be tempted not to pull out my original NES/carts in favor of the convenience of this new one. Think I'll have to avoid it for those reasons lol

Seriously, what's NES playing without q-tips and rubbing alcohol???

If I only still had my original NES.  :::grumbles:::

I already have a handful of the NES mini games on my Wii.  And there only are a few more that I "have" to have that will cost far less that the  $60 for the NES Mini.

Well hardly circumstances preventing anything, just being financially responsible.

Unless a really good bundle for One S comes out Black Friday/Holiday, I think I'll just wait till the Scorpion just for more future proofness. Suppose my 4k collection can wait till then to be used. Will continue to purchase 4k discs anyway, rather spend $20-$30 here and there than dropping like $200 the day I get a player.

Probably get the NX. Depends on it though. i was certain I was going to get the Neo, but no 4k player turned me off that. Funny, I had zero intentions of getting the One S, then after Neo reveal I was certain I was getting One S that week. Ultimately decided I could wait a year for what is kind of the next gen console. No point jumping into a gen essentially ending, when the main reason for the uprchase is the player. Might as well have the option of the Scorpio games if any come I want.

Really hoping the NX is a good hyrbid. Would be great not having to buy a handheld and homeconsole for nintendo each gen.
