How long does this last for? I'm getting mine in like november. Maybe I could get it before if it doesn't last for that long

Until October 30th

So a friend of mine who got a 1070 not very long ago asked the place he got it from if he can get the Gears of 4 Promo. And this was their response:

"Hi CensoredName,

Thank you for your patience. According to your previous invoice, you were given the previous Nvidia promotion, Paragon In-game credit of $150, with the purchase of the EVGA GTX 1070. Generally, every video card purchased is only eligible to claim one promotion.

However, we value your business and thank you for shopping at Memory Express. Please refer to the following for a copy of the game, Gears of War 4."

If anyone else got their 1070/1080 recently, yall should try it

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Tempting, but I decided against keeping Windows 10.

Damn, if it was included with the 1060 i might have been tempted to get one right now. 1070 is major overkill for my gaming needs.

Finally, after 3 months, the 1080 is starting to become available in Sweden and many e-tailers have some cards regularly in stock.

I don't know if it's still a bit overpriced though since the very cheapest 1080's cost 790 Euros/880 dollars here, or if it's only due to the horrible exchange rate of the Swedish crown (it hasn't been this damn weak in many years). That's damn expensive but I think it's worth it.

I want a GPU with GTX 1080 tipe of performance so bad, but I can't get one since AMD is my only option and it seems Vega won't come until next year. I would get twice the performance compared with my current Radeon R9 290.

Why is AMD your only option? Free-Sync-monitor?

And I doubt that Vega will be cheap with 8 - 16 GB HBM2 memory.

I've sworn my loyalty to AMD. My philosophy is to always support the underdog and now it's nearly 15 years that I've only used AMD GPUs and CPUs in my PCs. I can't break that streak now, especially not after AMD announced they were back in the high-end CPU business again.

Vega won't be cheap but since the release of the GTX 1080 I've become accustomed to the idea of buying GPUs for $700.

What are your future hardware plans?

Nice bundle, I wonder if its available in Aus, I plan on getting a 1080 next month (Hopefully)

EDIT- Sweet it is :)

Since I've decided that I stay with my 120hz-FullHD-monitor at least the next 2 years, I've chosen a GTX1070 instead of a GTX1080.

I chose the "EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming" with 3 years warranty... for another 20 bucks I can extend the warranty to 5 years. It is super silent in desktop mode or less demanding games and also very silent in demanding games. With less than 27 cm length it still fits in my PC case... many 1070 and 1080 cards are too long for that case.

It's a great boost compared to my GTX970, now I can play many games with 100+ fps (or 50+ fps for stereoscopic 3D) or crank up the settings from high/very high to ultra/hyper in games where fps aren't that important.

My GTX970 would probably have sufficed until the arrival of the first Volta cards, but my brother's PC needed an upgrade from an old GTX650 Ti (1 GB), so I gifted him the 970.
