Silent Bomber, a game where you always blow shit up, it's like Bomberman on crack. Very fun game that plays very well today.

Some of the games people have suggested are inferior versions that really wouldn't be worth playing. Take for example, the entire marvel vs. series on PS1 was gimped. The series main attraction was being able to tag, but due to the PS1's lacking ram, that entire feature was removed from all the games in the series that appeared on PS1. But: Mega Man Legends 2. For me, the best aged 3D graphics game on PS1. My original PS1 copy was stolen, so I now play it on PS3, but it's still great... Apart from Mega Man's voice. Resident evil 1, 2 and 3 Mega Man X4 I can't recommend x5, or x6, because X6 wasn't supposed to be made, and visually looks and plays terrible. X6 also has extremely high difficulty-- not due to creativeness, but out of poor stage design layout and enemy placement. Not actual difficulty of trial and error. It's all just memory and random luck when it really pushes you. X5 just doesn't have the same creative standard that X4 had. Can't suggest Mega Man 8 because the superior version is on Sega Saturn with added features and more enemies. That's all I've got without booting up my consoles. |
Surprisingly, I have played all the Megaman games except X4, Legends and Legends 2. I know people have problems with X5 and X6, but... they were fine enough as X games. I enjoyed them, and I'm sure I'll enjoy X4 as well. I have the collection on PS2, so I can play those all again, which is nice.
I played Megaman 8 as well, which I didn't like. The visuals, sound and gameplay weren't very good to me, and I overall didn't really enjoy it.
But yeah, I'll keep a note on Legends 2 then. I have 1 on me as well. And there are some games listed I have already played on PC, so I would likely just look at games I'm interested in only on PS1. I dunno if I could play the Resi Evil games though. I tried 2 for awhile, but gave up, as it felt poorly aged. It felt too clunky and awkward.

Mega Man 8 is great! The music may not be the best, but the game is great. |
I actually thought some of the music was pretty good. I don't really like how it plays though... : S

Brave Fencer Musashi
Final Fantasy VIII
Chrono Cross (9 endings, best Square Soft game ever)
Final Fantasy VIII, Legend of Legaia, Twisted Metal, Alundra, Wild Arms, Persona, Castlevania SotN, Suikoden, Parasite Eve... Yeah, the PSOne was Sony's best gaming system ever. It's still number one in my list, ahead of even the Xbox 360.
Sucks those times are long over...
