Oh sorry I should have explained,

Kelvin is the term used for the timeline which got altered by the destruction of the USS Kelvin along with James Kirk and also had Nero Destroy Vulcan, the timeline gets its name from Kirks dads ship (which he was captain of for long enough to fly it into Neros mining vessel.

Prime Timeline is the events which are not altered, so The Next Gen, DS9, Voyager all take place in that, normally it's mainly thought of when it comes to the 2 spocks, Spock from JJ universe and Nimoy who is refered to as Spock Prime since he is from that universe.

Not sure if he is credited as such in the films but I know IMDB refers to spock as this

No problem dude. :) I am quite familiar with what happened in the reboot, but had never heard the terms "Kelvin" and "Prime" until today. It's all sorted. I even took the time to read an article on the topic. I am a pretty big fan in general. Still haven't seen Beyond.

I have to admit, I think Beyond is the one I have enjoyed the most, I wouldn't say is the best one but it clicked with me better than the previous 2.
