Will probably have the same negative affect on each conference as the agriculture expo that is opening the same day.

People are acting like publications can only write one article at a time.

There will be different people covering different news on the day. Some will cover the Sony conference and others will cover the Iphone one.

Similarly, some people I know will watch one on one tab and have another tab to follow news breaking on the other.

It's not a big deal and the media will love having both on one day as they can sell a bigger story about 2 big releases on one day.

People who like Sony will listen in on the Sony conference, and vice versa for Apple. Nothing to really worry about. One conference is for phones that really...um, don't change much. While Sony is expected to reveal new hardware so, Sony should be fine.

People are able to report about multiple companies and their many products during E3 and other such events. I don't see why they wouldn't manage to cover two companies in a single day.
