Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy XV Director Talks PS4 and Xbox One Resolution, Frame Rate, Graphics and More

I wanna also say that Fallout 4 was complete mess when it came out and it still is and it looks inferior in every aspect to FF15, where were the same people bitching and complaining all the time about the frame rate?

Its like certain people simple dont want to play FF15, just admit it to yourself and move but stop trashing and bad mouthing this game to others

I want this game, but when F4 can have gorgeous environmental mods and still run flawlessly, this starts looking like Squeenix isn't optimizing the thing.

nope it doesnt

Dunno about anyone else but there's something deeply unsettling to me about someone saying "Close to 30FPS". How do we define "Close" anyway? 29FPS is close, but so is 20 and 15 too if you care for it. And also "holding" the framerate, is that most of the time? So maybe just 51% of the time we could be looking at a game running on or above 20FPS?

Having said all that, and despite all of the comments about how it's a bit shaky in terms of the framerate and the build quality being the reason for the delay, I think it's probably fair to say that this is a "Wait and see" sorta dealio rather than claiming it's all sunshine and roses or indeed getting carried away and forecasting doom. At least the game itself looks very solid indeed; and for me that's what counts. There's still time to make the framerate as solid!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Are we using the same Xbox One?

Still hard to get a read on it but I've heard some people say there is banding in the sky on the new builds, but I was wondering if this is true and if it was there on the Duscae 2.0 demo. I see it when I play it on my 75 inch Sony 940c which is a top of the line tv, so I was curious

Saying it will be "close" to 30fps as opposed to holding it is a bit worrying considering the poor framerate in both the game's demos.

the first demo wasnt bad

The first demo may not have been as shaky as the Platinum demo, but its framerate still spent plenty of times in the 20s and could even drop into the teens:
