Yeah, this my main concern. I want a good quality screen. If Nintendo intend to be able to push this as a viable tablet, hopefully they'll go that bit further the screen. 

Remember, this is the same Emily Rogers who said there would be a female Link in Breath of the Wild, which was not true.

Well she was right last time when she said big NX news will come out soon and it came out bu Eurogamer a few hours later so i think shes probably right.

Assuming the rumour's true, and nothing changes from dev kits to final hardware, you'd be looking at 236 PPI, which is a pretty nice spot to be in for a handheld (going much above that gives pretty poor returns to scale for the increased computational burden).

Assuming the screen size is correct .... 236 PPI wouldn't be too bad at all. It's close enough to an iPad Air/Pro and a bit higher than a Sony Vita (220 ppi).

Now we just have to hope Nintendo doesn't choose a really shitty screen. 

Is 720p really that bad? My 8in. tablet has a 720p screen, and so does my 4.7in. phone. I see no difference in clarity between the two.

Hopefully Nintendo goes with IPS, or at the very least a TFT display that can compare to what Samsung puts in their low-end tablets.

720p would be amazing for a hand held. WTF are you people talking about 1080p? Am I living in a false universe or something? 1080p is not even standard home console resolution right now. And those home consoles cost $300+.

With that said, these rumors sound a lot like bullshit. Especially since they seem to confirm nothing at all. Hey, I heard, but it may be untrue. Shit, I could have said all of those things.

I have to say one thing: thinking about Ps1, Ps2, Ps3 and Ps4, all we got is more of the same, more power, more performance, better online, these things.
Nintendo is the only one really trying to create something really new since the Wii era, even with the WiiU, they failed but they did tried.
So, I am very interested in the NX, I really want to see it.

Anything above 1080p is overkill. Mobile devices who put on ridiculously large resolutions basically drain the battery
