Plus each post has an ID number. So the post with the 8 millionth ID number should be the 8 millionth post http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8000000

The discrepancy between post ID numbers and number of posts shown in the stats I think is ioi's fault. IIRC he once skipped a load of posts so he could get one of the earlier millionth posts

Yeah, ioi cheated to get the 3 millionth post. I guess the more correct thing to say is that we have a post with 8 million as its post id, but.... that just sounds lame, so I won't change the title.
