White - 63% (-11%)
Black - 12% (-10%)
Hispanic - 16% (-12%)
Asian - 4% (+34%)

I would not be surprised if Asians accounted for more than 4% at just about any major tech company. I don't see a major issue here unless someone can show evidence of discrimination against non-Asians.

Don't want to sound picky, but white's actually make up 72% of America's population. Of course that includes hispanics that define themselves as white, but still.



Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Why not make it more specific, Facebook in California what are the demographics for that, or more specific what are the specific demographic of Silcon Valley. I think they are issues of using direct demographics over a company. However it is safe to say Asians are over represented.

72.9% of California's population is white. Doesn't say how much is hispanic though. Asians are 14.7%, though I will note that Middle Eastern's are considered white in these demographics, so maybe facebook considered middle easterns as Asian (though I doubt it)?

Well, sure they could increase their diversity...by reducing their overall userbase in the larger represented areas intentionally pissing them off..but then they end up losing a lot of money and users. Oh tough times and tough contemplations for things that aren't useful for a company to stay afloat.

I divided "white" and "hispanic" due to the story in the OP breaking them into two categories.  Based on census data the groups are combined and seperated so could argue both ways.
