Gamecube. It's worked on 3 generations of consoles. They spent money, on a addon, to allow them to work, for one game. That's how wanted it was. We can't even use the PS3 controller, on the PS4.

The SNES was brilliant. It's no accident that it's been the standard layout for most game systems since it game out.

The Gamecube controller, however, was great. Comfy, responsive, and the Wavebird was the first wireless controller that wasn't crap.

Pro Controller. That thing is almost flawless, it just needed gyro and analog triggers imo. I hope that whatever controller the NX ends up having keeps the amazing battery life the Pro has.

I think this speaks more about the flaws of the Wii controllers since people still prefered the older controller. The Wii U Pro controller solves it all, but a lot of players were already used to the GC controller since they kept it for two gens to play Smash.

Gamecube by far, still only controller from a major manufacturer that has a decent 4 button layout for 1 finger... Playstation has been around for 20 years xbox for 15 and they still haven't learned that symmetrical does not equal better just prettier...

The 4 button layout on the face buttons of the playstation and xbox controller is not optimized for 1 finger period. I really wish one developer would leave the norm and have a controller where every button combination was actually pushable with 1 finger. Try pushing square and circle simultaneously on the PS4 controller for example...

Best controller would be a combination of the GC pad with a playstation pad. Since GC pad has issues, only 3 shoulder buttons 1 of them sucks and the sticks are not clickable.

Might point on the nose The GC proved. The newer stuff didn't. So It's the best one, because of longevity, and market want. People love to be lazy and cheap. But would still go out and buy a GC adapter for their Wii U. That's a serious want. VS just using their pro controller. I'd use my Wavebird 100%. If the system allowed it to work 100% everywhere, on anything.

Gamecube. Specifically, the Wavebird.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Utter perfection.
It looks good.
It feels comfortable to hold.
The buttons feel awesome to press and the analog sticks are super precise.
It has 80 hours of battery life.

It has everything you want in a controller.

Agree! The controller that wii u should have as mandatory and not secondary! I love gamepad for tis off-screen play, but I can't disregard  that it's  responsible for much trouble for Nintendo and my wallet!

I think I will go with the SNES controller.

Definitely not the N64 one cuz I hated that stupid weak joystick.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
