Pokemon GO took over the news all over the world.  Everyone is taking about Nintendo. Its stock shares are skyrocketing.  Isn't now the best opportunity to captalize on its mobile sucees to sell the NX. The last time that Nintendo draw so much attention in the media was when they released the Wii. Pokemon Go is such a success, that Nintendo should unveil The NX as soon as possible to take advantage of all the buzz.

Or maybe they shouldn't announce the NX to take away the Buzz from Pokemon Go. Mobile games live off of that "buzz".

No, they have to keep the Pokemon Go hype going, if they announce the NX now, they would be competing with themselves for atention. Let the Pokemon Go hype go down, then announce the NX, and keep Nintendo on the news for a long time: Pokemon Go- NX announcement- Pokemon Sun/Moon- Zelda BoTW- NX release...



You know it deserves the GOTY.

I don't know. Really, it's more about the wrong moment. Now that E3 is done, everyday is the right day to talk about it.
Everyday until october, October will be too late. Nintendo needs to give people a reason to keep their christmas money for the NX instead of buying a PS4 or something else. Being silent about the NX will not help doing that.

I wonder how long that hype will last. It reminds me a lot of the Fallout Shelter hype. Popular IP with mildly addictive gameplay but not much substance. Pokemon Go seems like a glorified pokedex app to me so I doubt its lasting appeal.
There are other and probably better GPS games out there which shows that Pokemon Go pretty much only sells by its name.

I'll give it a few months max until people get bored or are tired of having to run around all the time.
