Forums - Politics Discussion - Another Police Shooting In The US

From my understanding, he was informing the police officer that he legally had a gun in his possession, and that he was reaching for his wallet. If you're concealing and carrying, this is typical to do, and it's to avoid situations like this. The man was perfectly within the confines of the law, and he was trying to make things go smoothly, the cop is a hot headed idiot, and was in no immediate danger. No matter how you slice it, this guy murdered and innocent civilian, and you shouldn't be exempt from murder just because you have badge.

What provocation was that exactly?

The provocation was the man stating that he had a gun and a conceal and carry permit while reaching for his wallet.

Actually thats not provocation.  There are a lot of states that you have to announce that you have a permit to conceal and carry a gun if pulled over by a cop.  In some states you only have to say something when asked.  The guy was probably just following protocol when pulled over whether he had a gun or not.  For a cop to freak out when someone let them know they have a permit for conceal and carry is totally on the cop and shows a total lack of understanding of the situation.

What in the hell? Again an American cop situation that is uppsetting.

How could the cop panic worse than a child? I've almost never seen somebody panic and tremble like that. Meanwhile the chick was so cool and composed.

What a useless human individual. This cop should get a lifetime in jail or possibly the death penalty. He doesn't deserve to live out among people and spread these very bad genes any further.

That is true, unless he reached behind him with a show of anger or force which would lead the officer to believe that he was reaching for a weapon with intent. We do not know if this was what happened or not.

What are you even saying? All you are doing is assuming to justify his actions. The girlfriend is the eyewitness, she gave an account of what happened,so what do you mean we don't know if this and that happened.

I have done nothing in attempt to justify the officers actions. I have not said that this is what has happened nor have I assumed such. I am trying to point out that we do not have all the facts in this situation and should not jump to conclusions so quickly.

The video is from an obviously emotionally comprimised woman whose first thought was to find a way to document an event to prove that her boyfriend was not in the wrong. The video however did not show the inident as it took place so all she is doing is making an early eyewitness account.

Observations of the video that could impact the court case when it comes:

  • The officer was very obviously shooken up over the event and scared shitless, whether he was scared because he just killed an innocent man or because he thought he was going to die, I cannot say. Later in the video you can here the officer exclaiming the F* word as he finds out that the man he shot is certainly dead. There was personal distress in this.
  • The womans account was very stoic but that is easily attributable to shock as she later comes out of the stoic trance like state as she is whailing about the loss of her boyfriend.
  • The man was obviously shot by the police officer from the angle of the wounds that could be seen.
  • The womans story about the events changes slightly as she repeats her accounting of the issue. At one point she states that she said he had a permit, but that sounded more like a mistake during rambling. The amount of times he got shot changes several times. This is likely her emotions getting the better of her but in court it can easily discount her credability as a witness.
  • By the time she got out of the vehicle there were already 3 squad cars on site, usually during traffic stops that occur on our city roads there are 2 squad cars. The first pulls the person over and while the original officer is running plates he calls it in and a second car arrives. Most officers are alone so this is done for reasons of safety and so that they have an eyewitness if needed.

So people with anxeity that get panic attacks from time to time shouldn't be able to live among people and get sterilized? Are you studying eugenics on human beings or something?

Btw, I'm not protecting this cop's shooting. It wasn't his panic that caused the murder, but his thoughts. And his thoughts is based on society's health. People with anxiety and panic attacks should be helped with therapy, not sterilized. I get panic attacks time to time but it doesn't mean I want to shoot somebody.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

A clear hate crime and a cold blooded execution. The cop is a cowardly thug and he must be found guilty of murder.

Didn't you hear?  Only black people can be thugs.  That's why this guy is dead.  The cop was just doing his job.  Look, after the police investigate themselves, they'll find they did no wrong doing.  Trust me!

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

i didnt watch the whole video but did she really made a video right after her boyfriend got shot?
like wtf?

Yes, a guy making such a bad judgment to the point that he killed an innocent human being should be locked away from society, regardless if he has panic attacks or not. Either life in jail or put him to death by the principle of an eye for an eye.

Don't make him the victim.
