Forums - Sony Discussion - A PS4 Slim model along the Neo? New Rumors

This seems logical, but the Slim's should be same specs, just more compact/efficiently built and cheaper.

That wouldn't be surprising. I'd be interested to see how small they could make the PS4.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

So I gotta wait three months before I know if I'm buying a PS4 or waiting longer for the slim/Neo? Stinks.

I hope they announce them both in the same day.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I so want this to be true, give me PS4 Slim with $300 price and I buying asap. :)

I don't see the purpose of a slim for the PS4 personally. But I guess we'll see if there's any truth to this "analysts" claims soon enough.

What is actually point of revisions!? To cut production cost in order to have higher profit or/and more affordable price.

If they make a slim, it will only be there to be cheaper than what they currently have on the market. An equally priced slim seems pointless even if it is smaller, especially if there is a smaller and more powerful sku being released soon.

If they get rid of the power brick, keep the current disc drive and don't upgrade to a 4K one, I reckon they can release a PS4 slim for £250.

I know some people are saying the PS4 is tightly packed already, but a die shrink along with an external PSU should be enough to shed some weight.

The PS4 doesn't have a power brick. It's power supply is internal.

That why he said that PS4 Slim could have power brick in order to have smaller console that is more cooler.
