IMDB is user editable, so I wouldn't take it as gospel.

List it as a rumor. But I followed the links and they have all the VA's on the page. And all the page says it is in Post Production it doesn't say a release date. (Means the acting part of it is done.)

But I followed the source of it and it is a rumor on a rumor based off of something Miyamoto said off hand last year.

Anyways. I thought Miyamoto confirmed that the next 3D Mario game was going to be very different? :/ I'm confused now. Could it be a placeholder or are we getting Galaxy 3 at launch and a new and unique title a couple years down the line?

Everybody who's a member of imdb pro can edit anything on imdb.com. Everybody can become an imdb pro member, you just have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. But nevertheless, imdb pro is also used by real movie professionals and what they do sometimes is to put in something (for example an actor for a role) to see how the reaction is on the comments or sometimes they put in a movie project that doesn't (yet) exist to see the reaction. To see the reaction to Super Mario Galaxy 3 on a movie site is a bit a stretch but it still could be testing.

For example, I can remember that once during production of the Tekken (2010) movie they put in Jackie Chan to play Lei Wulong just to get people exited and get more attention to the project. Because never on earth was Jackie Chan interested in playing this role.

The next main series Mario game will be the first open world Super Mario game. Not a sequel to Mario Galaxy 2.

Dang it and I was hoping to hear news about Bit Trip Runner 3... curses, I was hoping to get more Burger Mouth, Burger Brand Mouth Burgers!

Seriously Charles voice work in that game was fantastic, I'm not sure how they landed him for the job, but it's fantastic to hear the voice of Mario on a game on the Vita.

I'm afraid to take this one away from you Hynad but people have written fanfics about such things for many years now. You could get done for plagerism if you state this as an original hope/idea :)

That said... imagine an Open world version of Forest of Illusion, looping you back around in circles of mist and confusion... Dear lord I hated that place as a kid.

Super Mario Galaxy 3??? That's oddly specific, but they have the cast listed for the other characters too including Rosalina.

I've never heard of a game leaking via imdb, but that seems pretty hard to reconcile if they have the cast. How could this get listed?
