Pokemon Red/Blue feel a bit outdated nowadays. The remakes freshen it up though,

While I wouldn't go that far, its an excellent game. It helped launch a global phenomenon that we haven't seen since and is still going strong to this day.

I'm glad there's a lot of Platinum love. Everybody in the Pokemon community loathes Gen IV but that's what saved Pokemon to me after I just could not getting Hoenn. And I can't stand Gen V either for many reasons, so IV is entirely what kept me interested in Pokemon news for the past three gens.

I'm glad to see some Pokemon Platinum love here because it's my favorite Pokemon game.
My favorite rpg overall would be Xenoblade for Wii, followed by Dragon Quest VIII, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 1 and Chrono Trigger.

Never got Pokemon, since I was kid I always coupled it up together with Power Rangers and TMNT in my list of things that were mind-blowingly stupid. Never got the appeal of conventional JRPGs either (except Persona 3, which isn't that conventional as a whole, but the combat is pretty much traditional RPG rubbish, still more fun than something like Final Fantasy though), but the ones that break from the norm are almost always guaranteed to be a good time, the first 2 Paper Mario games, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Mother 3 and that meme game that's cool to hate by edgelords nowadays because of over-exposure are this industry's finest in my eyes.

I'm now filled with determination.
