Forums - Nintendo Discussion - To the Wii u owners who thought zelda was enough for E3...

I have a giant backlog on both WiiU and 3ds, so I'm covered.

Where do you kids these days get the time to breeze through so much content so fast? Maybe I'm just not hardcore enough but between studying and a full time job I don't have much time for gaming anymore.
I'm almost grateful there's nothing much to buy and throw on my backlog! :P
(No, I'm not saying Nintento letting the WiiU die a slow and painful death is a good thing overall, but for me personally it provides a breather)

Edit: After seeing midranges comments on this I feel the need to clarify that I'm by no means implying that people with a lot of time on their hands for gaming have no live. If anything I'm sort of envious and want to know the secret to managing your time better! :P

Why is not having tens of thousands of games to play such a foreign concept to people?

I have other things to do too, I paint and study and tinker with game making. A good game keeps you occupied for a long time.

When Oblivion was out I played it for over a year and kept discovering things. Dota 2 has kept me occupied since its release.
Hell, I keep sinking more and more hours into Crusader Kings 2 since that game released and I'm still not tired of it.
Zelda looks like it'll be like one of those games that you'll be playing a couple of years.
Where does everyone here who complains about the amounts of games on a system get all their time and money?

Oh, and don't get me wrong, I know why it's good for a system to have a big library. It's to have something for everyone's tastes rather than to attract the people who games like games are paper towels. But do people really think that going through a game a week is the norm for players?

I LOVE ICELAND!

Im sorry but these threads make me laugh I own only a Wii U and havent bought a game since Twilight Princess HD havent played anything since and I dont complain because you just do something else. Why do people have no lives and complain when they have no games to play, do you not have other hobbies? read, music, go for a hike, a casual sport, etc the options are endless view it as an opportunity to do something else.

Oh and to the guy who made this thread, you cant really be annoyed for people telling you to get a LIFE because you walked right into these types of answers by making this thread.

Stop complaining and go do something else. Easy, case closed.

Wii U games arent one-time experience like most of ps4/xbox games, there are a lot of good games that you can play like forever, such as Mario kart 8/ SSBU / Splatoon / Super Mario Maker also there is a lot of indie games that are coming, so I dont think it will be dust collector

What do you plan on doing for the rest of 2016?

Since no third party games were announced and zelda is coming in 2017, what is there left for 2016? At least ps4 players, xbox one players, and pc players have many third party games that will be padding out the year (along with some first party games like the last gaurdian). How can one game that won't come out this year be considered a successful E3 for Nintendo when nothing else was shown for the wii u for this year?

Probably breathe, and do something else. Like having a life and stuff. Probably gather my coins to buy a NX next year.

So you don't want to count any games not shown at this E3?

So was Sony's 2015 confrence a failure?  how many  of the games shown there released in 2015? Not very many.

Other retail games are being released for the wii u. There also some excellent looking indie titles coming out on Wii U in 2016.

Now if you mean does E3 suck if you are a Wii U owner and only want Big, AAA games, shown at E3, then sure.

What a random thread.

I plan to get Tokio Mirage Sessions#FE wich is gonna be out next week, I still need to get Pokken and Twilight Princess HD and I plan to get old games I still don't have like City Undercover, Kirby Rainbow Curse or Monster Hunter 3. Also I plan to get some VC games like Xenoblade Chronicles and some indie games like the new Shantae or Mighty No.9, finally I'm also interested in what I saw about Paper Mario in the treehouse showcase, so I could be buying that too.

And that's only on WiiU, on 3DS I plan to get Kirby Planet Robobot next week and then Shin Megami Tensei and Pokemon moon later.

And finally I have a bunch of games I'm gonna play on my PC too, so I have definitively enough things to play this year.

If Sony only showed off first party games last year, they would have been destroyed. As you say, they didn't have much that came out last year first party wise (and yes, I would have thought their E3 would have been a joke)

But their E3 (again, focusing on stuff shown at E3), showed off a good amount of third party content.

Also games don't have to be triple AAA to be good, but it's nice to have options

Sell my Wii U while the getting's good

"These are the highest quality pixels that anybody has seen"

I think that is actualy very small number that have only Wii U like gaming platform, some of them have 3DS also, some have PC, some have PS4/XB1..
