I hope this time around the port will actually be decent and not locked to 30 with shoddy options along with not being locked to Windows 10.

I know they aren't the same but similar in play style. They are both fetch quests to a certain extent. One uses vehicle and weapon customization to play. The other uses weapon and human customization to make the game make you care less for vehicles. I also love how colorful and wild sunset is.I guess another similar game would be infamous. I bought dr3 like a week before I got sunset. Never played dr3 again. I should give it another go though. |
Eh, all the Dead Rising games have a focus on exploration, escorting, combat, and grinding. DR3 was no exception it was just in a bigger world, vehicles, and more guns. Its fun open world action title. I liked it and so did a lot of people, there isn't anything else quite like it either.

Im glad you like it that much. Good thing we have different games for different tastes. I will pick up the future installment but probably not on release day.
This game, if it's a sequel could sell many Xbox consoles, Dead Rising is one of the best zombie franchises of the last gen and it could become the new Resident Evil. Actually Microsoft should buy Capcom to give Sony competition, people have been saying this for years, yet they haven't made that move. Think about what a giant studio Microsoft Game Studios could be if Microsoft bought Capcom, who have games that can clearly be system sellers.

I think most Xbox fans never played DR1. Like me.
I'm taking this reboot as a fresh take on the franchise from the perspective of Capcom Vancouver.
Reboot or Remakes are never lazy. Lazy is making a port just to upgrade the res and frames.
From the description on the rumor, location, time of the year changed and vehicles are going to be added. This is not a remaster.
So by definition not an exclusive to anything... Thanks MS.
